Content notes: College/University AU. References to Denmark/Belarus and Norway/Belarus. Some references to sex. Uses human names; Iceland is 'Emil', Denmark is 'Mikkel', Norway is 'Lukas', and Hong Kong is 'Leon' in this story. (Also note, this fill serves as the first chapter of what is planned to be a three chapter story covering three fills. The other two chapters were not completed by the deadline but will still be added later.)
Summary: Emil never thought an innocent crush on an upperclassmen would bring him everything he'd come to this school searching for.

Possible due date extension

Hi everyone. In the schedule, the final day to post is May 24th, with posts closing on May 25. But it seems like most people haven’t finished their fanworks yet, and things are kind of weird globally right now.

I’m thinking about extending the deadline. Does anybody have any input about that (new due date suggestions, etc?)

Nordipalooza 2020: Posting Guidelines

These are the guidelines for submitting your fanwork to the fest. Please make sure you read them before you post. A few things have changed since the last time this fest was run, so even if you've participated before, make sure to check them out before posting.

The community will be open for posting on May 8th, and you can post your fanwork any time after that. The last day of the fest is May 24th and posting will be closed at 7 AM EST on May 25th. Please get your fanwork in before the end date!

Remember, the fic minimum is 2 fics at 500 words, or 1 fic at 1000 words. The art minimum is 2 works b&w or 1 work with colour.

Nordipalooza 2020: Introduction and Guidelines

Welcome to the Nordipalooza Fanwork Fest!

What is Nordipalooza?

Nordipalooza is a prompt-based fest for fanfic and fanart centred around the Nordic Five characters from Hetalia. Fanwork centring on the themes of family, friendship, rivalry, historical, and romantic situations are all equally encouraged!

This year, announcements will be posted on both Dreamwidth and Tumblr. Fanworks will be posted on both Dreamwidth and Archive of Our Own.

Each person who signs up is given a list of four prompts. Each prompt contains two randomly-assigned Nordic characters, one simple theme, and two optional historical time periods to use as extra inspiration.

If you have signed up for this fest before, you're welcome to make fanwork based on prompts you received for previous rounds, provided you send in a signup for this round too.

Content notes: Established NorNed, references to drugs, implied character death, (very) slightly ooc, I scarified the time period in favour of obscure magic, short paragraphs. Really weird. I can't write Nords and Magic without it becoming really weird. The road to hell is paved with adverbs, and I am going there. I normally edit things when I have a sudden realization of "hey, I can write this better," often months after I've publ
Wordcount: Almost 2K, give or take.
Summary: They're supposed to wait, and Finland will bring back Iceland; everything will be okay. But it isn't, and nobody taught Sweden how to hope.

Notes: Muscovy is Russia, Flanders is Belgium, or make them OCs if you really prefer. Hanse is an OC of mine representing the Hanseatic League but she hardly appears here. Everybody else is only really passing through, it's mostly Denmark and Norway. There's elements of DenSu and I wanted to make it more overt but it wouldn't really cooperate.
Summary: Denmark puts his big mouth to good use. (Not as dirty as it sounds.)
